PARENT INVOLVEMENT INFORMATION

Parent/Teacher Contract

Bunche Middle School invites its parents to participate in all school activities and functions.  Students, parents, staff and the entire community are enriched with a partnership that encourages student achievement.  Parents can be part of the SSC, ELAC SAC, PTA, Leadership Team or the Safety Committee.  As volunteers, parents can help with field trips, fund raising, help with decorations and are encouraged to help teachers with the preparation of student materials.  It is a requirement for all volunteers to have a T.B. test and a Finger Print clearance before acting as a school volunteer.  This includes but is not limited to parents, volunteers, and others who attend field trips.

SCHOOL SITE COUNCIL SSC/ENGLISH LANGUAGE LEARNER ADVISORY COMMITTEE ELAC/CHOOL ADVISORY COMMITTEE SAC

The School Site Council, School Advisory Committee and English Learner Advisory Committees are composed of parents, teachers and other members of school staff.  The members of the councils advise and monitor the school’s supplementary state and federal programs.  In order to qualify for funding, a school plan must be submitted to the state which outlines improvement activities which will result in improved student achievement.  All parents are encouraged to participate in the monthly meetings.  Dates and location of meetings will be posted and reminders sent home prior to meetings.
