Eighth Grade PLC
Welcome to 8th Grade!
Eighth grade is an important year of preparation, growth, and achievement. Students are encouraged to reflect on their strengths, set meaningful goals, and take ownership of their academic journey. As they prepare for high school, our 8th graders are developing the skills, confidence, and habits they need to take their next step successfully.
Preparing for High School
This replaces "Making the Transition to Middle School."
Eighth grade is a time to prepare for the opportunities and responsibilities that come with high school. Students are encouraged to become confident self-advocates, make thoughtful decisions, and develop strong academic and organizational habits.

- Take greater ownership of their academic progress
- Set goals for high school and beyond
- Strengthen time-management and study skills
- Explore interests, electives, and future opportunities
- Practice self-advocacy and responsible decision-making
