Seventh Grade PLC
Welcome to 7th Grade!
Seventh grade is a year of growth, independence, and discovery. Students continue to strengthen their academic skills while taking greater ownership of their learning and personal goals. Our 7th graders are encouraged to challenge themselves, build positive relationships, explore their interests, and develop the confidence they need to succeed in middle school and beyond.
Growing as a Middle School Student
Rather than "Making the Transition," 7th graders are already familiar with middle school, so I'd focus on growth and independence.
Seventh grade is a time to become more confident and independent. Students are encouraged to take greater responsibility for their learning, manage their time, advocate for themselves, and make positive choices.
In 7th grade, students will:
- Take greater ownership of assignments and deadlines
- Strengthen their study and organizational habits
- Learn to advocate for themselves
- Set academic and personal goals
- Explore new interests and activities
- Build positive relationships with peers and adults
